To be eligible
for the trip, you must be at least 18 years
of age or traveling with your parent or guardian
(we regret that we cannot accommodate children
under the age of 10). Your health must be sufficient
for the minimum physical activity required for
the trip. You should be able to walk at a brisk
pace for 1 hour and be willing to participate
in outdoor activities in cold weather (with
proper clothing, of course), and be able to
handle potential spills in the snow on the dogsled
and reindeer rides - which tend to be entertaining
for the rest of the group.

31 to 60 days prior to departure date 50%

No partial refunds are granted for unused hotel
rooms, meals, activities, or other arrangements
during a trip for any reason. At any time prior
to the trip, Taff Tours reserves the right to
cancel a trip for any reason if the safety of
the travelers or the quality of the trip may
be compromised. In such a case, Taff Tours will
refund payments received in full, which will
constitute full settlement.
Cancelled
Trips
Taff Tours reserves the right
to cancel any trip due to insufficient sign-up.
In such a case Taff Tours will first offer the
tour to those signed up at a higher price before
canceling the trip. Taff Tours will inform you
of this at least 45 days prior to departure. In
such a case, a full refund of the trip will be
given, however Taff Tours is not responsible for
additional expenses incurred by clients in preparing
for the trip (such as nonrefundable air tickets,
clothing, equipment, medical expenses).
Limitations
of Liability
Taff Tours acts only as the agent
for the contractors and suppliers providing in-country
transportation and travel services and assumes
no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage
to person or property in connection with any service
resulting directly from: acts of God, detention,
annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine,
thefts, strikes, pilferage, force majeure, failure
of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart
as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government
restrictions or regulations, and discrepancies
or changes in transit or hotel services over which
it has no control. These tours require some level
of physical activity in remote wilderness areas,
and Taff Tours is not responsible for personal
injury, including permanent disability and death
from illness, accidents, or the actions of other
persons. Reasonable changes in the itinerary may
be made where deemed advisable for the comfort
and well-being of the tour clients. The right
is reserved to substitute hotels, alter the itinerary,
and change the order of places to be visited.
Taff Tours will keep you informed of any necessary
changes in a timely fashion.
Release
and Indemnity
Taff Tours clients assume
full responsibility for any injury, loss, death,
or damage to them, their family and dependents
arising in connection with their participation,
or the participation of their family, in any
tour. Insurance with respect to such loss, injury,
death, or damage is the responsibility of the
client. In agreeing to take a Taff Tours tour,
clients agree not to sue Taff Tours in respect
of, and forever release them from, all liability
for economic loss and mental or physical injury,
directly or indirectly connected with the trip
– including, but not limited to, temporary
or permanent disability; death; any emotional
distress; any loss of services, financial support,
aid, or companionship; and any damage to or
loss of property – in which case even
if caused in whole or in part by the conduct,
including the negligence, of Taff Tours, except
where such loss, injury or damage is caused
by reckless conduct of the part of Taff Tours,
in which case the client retains the right to
sue only Taff Tours in respect of that conduct
alone.
Taff Tours reserves the right to use photography,
video, and audio recordings of the clients taken
during the tour for promotional and commercial
activities without payment to the client. With
written request, a client has the right to have
no close-up photography, video, or audio recordings
published.
On advancement of deposit to Taff Tours, the
depositor therefore agrees to be bound by the
above terms and conditions.
Responsibilities of Tour Clients
Tour clients have the responsibility
to read the trip itinerary and to be prepared
to endure the minimum physical activity required
for the trip. It is also important for the client
to realize that at certain scheduled times during
the trip, the clients will be on their own to
explore, and that no supervision or assistance
from Taff Tours or its vendors will be available
at that time (emergency mobile phone numbers of
Taff Tours guides will be given to clients). It
is the client’s responsibility to understand
that travel to other countries entails unexpected
(and interesting) differences in customs, accommodations,
practices, standards, and services. At any time
during the trip, the trip leader reserves the
right to ask a client to leave the trip if the
tour leader feels that person may be detrimental
to other tour clients or to the individual, at
which point the client forfeits the rest of his/her
trip without refund. In such a case, Taff Tours
will be sure to find appropriate transportation
for the client back to the arrival city, at the
client’s expense.
Medical & Health
It is essential that clients
with medical problems or conditions, or special
dietary needs make them known to Taff Tours well
before departure. The trip leader has the right
to disqualify anyone at any time during the trip
if he/she feels that the client is incapable of
continuing, and/or that the client’s continued
participation will jeopardize the individual involved
or the group. Refunds are not given under such
circumstances. By sending in your deposit toward
the trip, you certify that you do not have any
physical condition or disability that would create
a hazard for you or other travelers and you have
received all appropriate vaccinations. Please
consult your doctor.
In the event of a serious medical emergency, Taff
Tours will do everything possible to get a client
to a hospital as soon as possible. There will
be times during the tour when hospital services
are unavailable, and emergency transportation
to the nearest hospital could take several hours.
Taff Tours assumes no liability regarding provision
of medical care. Clients will receive a medical
certificate to be returned to Taff Tours prior
to departure.
